Our Methods.

At MegaBarre Youngstown, we house 2 studio rooms for a variety of small group fitness class options.

Studio 1 is the Barre Room which offers Bootybarre® as our primary barre method and Studio 2 offers the Lagree Fitness Method™ on the Megaformer.

Bootybarre®  is a fun, energetic workout that fuses techniques from Dance, Pilates, and Yoga that will tone, define and chisel the whole body. It is the perfect combination of strength and flexibility with an added cardiovascular element utilizing the barre.  bootybarre® was created by celebrity trainer Tracey Mallett in 2009, who has taken it to over 25 different countries and taught thousands of instructors who now teach bootybarre® in studios and spas globally.

In addition to bootybarre, the Barre Studio offers a VARIETY of modalities to keep your routine fresh and body from hitting a plateau.  Other class offerings include:

  • Bounce
  • Box Step
  • Dance Cardio
  • Yoga
  • Circuit

Many of the classes hosted in the Barre Studio are available for live stream, for a virtual option from anywhere in the world!

All classes focus on proper biomechanics for a safe and well-structured class that can be modified for any fitness level.

Shape and Fitness Magazine awarded bootybarre® the workouts of the month and has been featured in Self, Redbook, Cosmopolitan, Health, Oxygen, Womens Health, Prevention and many more.

Studio 2 is where we offer classes on the Megaformer.   The Lagree Method is a multi-faceted workout that combines resistance training and cardio into one comprehensive, balanced system to strengthen, tighten, and tone the body.

Balance is created by applying equal focus to all elements of exercise and never prioritizing one facet over another. We believe form is paramount and should always prevail over intensity.

Varying degrees of spring-based tension on a moving, weight resisted bed, allow the Lagree Method to adjust to the user during use. This immediate adaptability creates a tailored experience that is unique to the student.

Because of this, Lagree is the ideal method for all ages and fitness levels.
